Interstate 45 has five active business routes.

Old U.S. 75. Until 1988, U.S. 75 was still commissioned parallel to Interstate 45 from Dallas south to Galveston. However, once it was decommissioned, the old route was renumbered as Texas State Route 75. It is unclear if the multitude of Business Loop I-45 routes along this stretch were commissioned at this time or at some point earlier. |

This is Business Loop I-45G via Old U.S. 75. The Ennis, Palmer (BL-45H), and Ferris (BL-45J) business routes are within 20 miles of each other. |

This is Business Loop I-45J via Old U.S. 75 between Exits 266 and 267. The Ferris and Palmer business routes are actually pretty close to each other - only seven miles apart or so. At this point along Interstate 45, old U.S. 75 is not maintained as Texas 75, so it is possible that this is the reason why there are three business routes within such close proximity. |
