Business Loop I-70 - Hays

According to Brian O’Neill, as late as 1985, a marked Business Route I-70 was located in Hays. Trailblazers for the loop followed U.S. 183 from Exit 159 south to 8th Street (old U.S. 40 / City U.S. 40), then west and northwest to rejoin I-70 by way of U.S. 183 Bypass at Exit 157.

Kansas submitted the I-70 business route for Hayes to AASHTO for approval in 1979.
