Interstate Business Route 94

Interstate 94 has 19 active business loops and spurs.

MONTANA
Hysham Active Business Spur I-94 connects the Interstate to to the Treasure County seat and old U.S. 10 via Exit 67.
Forsyth Active Business Loop I-94 serves Forsyth via old U.S. 10 between Exits 93 and 95.
Miles City Active Business Loop I-94 serves Miles City via old U.S. 10 between exits 135 and 141.
Glendive Active Business Loop I-94 follows old U.S. 10 between Exits 210 and 215.
Wilbaux Active Business Loop I-94 serves Wilbaux along old U.S. 10.
NORTH DAKOTA
Medora Active This is old U.S. 10 at Exit 24. Mike Frank writes, "Medora, North Dakota, the main 'tourist' town of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit, had, the last time I was there (which was quite a few years ago) a Business Loop I-94. It was a renaming of the route old U.S. 10 took through town. Just as an aside, old U.S. 10 still exists in Western and Central North Dakota in its entirety except for sections just east and west or Medora. It is all county roads now, so how good a road it is depends on the county. They didn't incorporate U.S. 10 into I-94 like the eastern part of the state did. U.S. 10 winds around hills and through towns a little too much I think it was probably more efficient to build a whole new road."
Dickinson Active Business Loop I-94 follows old U.S. 10 between Exits 59 and 64. See note about old U.S. 10 in Medora entry.
Mandan-Bismarck Active Business Loop I-94 follows old U.S. 10 between exits 147 and 161.

Jamestown Active This business route serves Jamestown via old U.S. 10 between exits 255 and 260.
Valley City Active This business route serves Valley City via old U.S. 10-52 between Exits 290 and 294.
NORTH DAKOTA/MINNESOTA
Fargo - Moorhead Active Cosigned with U.S. 10 (western half) and formerly Minnesota Trunk Highway 231 (eastern half). The business route follows Main Avenue via old U.S. 52 (and very old U.S. 10S). In Minnesota, Interstate Business Routes are rare, and are generally not state trunk highways. At Moorhead, the business loop used to be Minnesota Trunk Highway 231, but this route was turned back to the city about seven years ago. The state route designation still appears on the 2000 Rand McNally Minnesota map. This is the only business loop on Interstate 94 in Minnesota. Fergus Falls, which looks like a shoe-in for a business loop along old U.S. 52, does not have one.
MICHIGAN
Benton Harbor and St. Joseph Active Business Loop I-94 follows old U.S. 12 from between Exits 23 and 33 via Lakeshore Drive and Main Street.
Kalamazoo Active The Kalamazoo business route leads from Exit 74 to 81. It is signed along the U.S. 131 freeway for two miles. Business Loop I-94 follows Stadium Drive and King Highway. In downtown Kalamazoo, Business Loop I-94 is also known as Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo Street, and Michikal Street. According to Chris Bessert, Business Loop I-94 in Kalamazoo originally continued west on Michigan Avenue (now Stadium Drive) to Oshtemo, then south along 9th Ave to rejoin Interstate 94 before the U.S. 131 freeway was completed. Upon completion, that routing was chosen as a more efficient path for Business Loop I-94, and the routing was changed at that time.
Battle Creek Active Business Loop I-94 in Battle Creek follows old U.S. 12 from Exit 92 to 104 via Dickman Road and Michigan Avenue. Interstate 194, which spurs into Battle Creek, has its northern terminus on Business Loop I-94.
Marshall Active Business Loop I-94 serves Marshall between Exits 108 and 112. It is cosigned with Interstate 69 for two miles.
Albion Active Business Loop I-94 follows old U.S. 12 between Exits 121 and 124.
Jackson Active Business Loop I-94 in Jackson follows Michigan Avenue (old U.S. 12) between Exits 136 and 145.
Ann Arbor Active Business Loop I-94 serves Ann Arbor, home of the Wolverines, between Exits 172 and 180. From west to east, the loop follows Huron Street (old U.S. 12) and Washtenaw Road (via Business U.S. 23 and old U.S. 12). To rejoin Interstate 94, it turns south along the U.S. 23 freeway. Ypsilanti is served by M-17 and Business U.S. 12, neither of which are designated Business Loop I-94.
Port Huron Active This business route is a relative newcomer, having been created in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Business Loop I-94 is partially cosigned with Business Loop I-69, and it follows Huron Street between Exits 264 and 274.
