Interstate Business Route 27

Interstate 27 has two active business routes and several business connections related to U.S. 87 on its short route from Lubbock to Amarillo, Texas.

	Location Status Description TEXAS Lubbock Not a Business Route Business U.S. 87; Avenue A Abernathy Not a Business Route Signed as Business U.S. 87. Hale Center Active This is Business Loop I-27T (Old U.S. 87/Main Street) through Hale Center between Exits 36 and 38. This one of two authenticated Business Loops on Interstate 27. Plainview Active This is Business Loop I-27U; 9.3 miles; Old U.S. 87. This one of two authenticated Business Loops on Interstate 27; I find it interesting that it carries the letter "U," which implies to us that many more loops are planned than those located on the currently existing stretch of Interstate 27. Perhaps that will happen if the Ports to Plains High Priority Corridor is built to Interstate standards through Texas. Tulia Not a Business Route This is signed as U.S. 87. Canyon Not a Business Route This is signed as U.S. 87.
