Interstate Business Route 97
Interstate 97 has no business loops, but does have one de facto business loop along Business Maryland State Route 3.

Business Maryland State Route 3 (Rob Crain Highway) is not Business Loop I-97, but it easily could be. State Route 3 is the original designation of the Interstate 97 freeway in the southern Baltimore metropolitan area. Business SR-3 is the old alignment of State Route 3; it was so designated prior to construction of the State Route 3 (now Interstate 97) freeway. According to Alex Nitzman, State Route 3 has been decommissioned along its former concurrent routing with Interstate 97. Now Business SR-3 is orphaned from its parent route, furthering the argument that this state business route should be an Interstate business loop. It is clearly shown on the 2001 National Geographic Road Atlas. |
