| North Bend
| Not a Business Loop |
According to Robert V. Droz, there is an Interstate 90 shield in North Bend (just east of the Seattle metro area) with an "Old" banner attached to it. I-90 signs started appearing around 1962 or so, maybe earlier, on what was then U.S.10 though town. U.S.10 was truncated at Spokane in 1969, leaving I-90 shields in North Bend along old U.S. 10. Around 1979 or so, the Interstate 90 freeway was built, and in lieu of posting a Business Loop in town, an "OLD" banner was affixed above the Interstate shield. |

| Ritzville
| Decom. /Signs Remain |
Exit 220 to Exit 226 via old US 10-395. There are no signs on Interstate 90 at Exits 220 or 226, signed well inside Ritzville, not as well in Adams County east of Ritzville. This business loop was field-checked by Mark Bozanich in May 1999; he returned to photograph it in 2000. |

| Spokane
| Decom. /Signs Remain |
Exit 276 to Exit 294 via old U.S. 10. Portions of old U.S. 2, U.S. 195, and U.S. 395 ran coincidental with parts of old U.S. 10 in Spokane area. Signed on both Eastbound I-90 at Exit 276 and U.S. 2 Eastbound at Sunset Highway - Spokane Airport interchange. Sign on I-90 Westbound at Exit 294 used to say "Sprague Ave. Business Route" but does not have Business Loop I-90 shield. Shields were well posted in City of Spokane until the early 2000s; they were posted poorly in Spokane County. Mark Bozanich writes, "For the most part, business routes in Washington State are not part of the state highway system. It is harder for the state to get counties and cities to cooperate in posting signs along business routes than to post signs that are on state highways. In the Spokane area, Business Loop I-90 is well-posted inside the city but not in the county. Entering Spokane from the west, Business Loop I-90 is posted from both I-90/U.S. 395 and U.S. 2. From the east, the traditional business route is posted at the Interstate 90 exit as the Sprague Avenue Business Route. Spokane County not only does not do a good job of posting Business Loop 90 signs along East Sprague Ave, it also avoids posting trailblazer signs to Interstate 90 from those north-south arterials that cross Sprague and interchange with Interstate 90. There are several trailblazer signs to Interstate 5 and/or Interstate 90 on county and city arterials in the Seattle-Tacoma area. One last comment on business routes in Washington State is that the DOT regional traffic engineers all seem to handle business routes differently." |

The Business Loop starts at the second Idaho exit and heads north to old U.S. 10, following old U.S. 10 east to the east end of town between Exits 5 (Spokane Street) and 6 (Seltice Way). Business Loop I-90 rejoins I-90 one interchange west of the Idaho State Route 41 interchange. The eastern Business Loop I-90 interchange is most likely a half-diamond. |
|
| Coeur d'Alene
| Uncertain (Active) |
Business Loop I-90 serves Coeur d'Alene via old U.S. 10 via Northwest Boulevard and Sherman Avenue between Exits 11 and 15. Zach Maillard writes, "Take the Northwest Blvd. exit, and follow the Bus. Loop through town. The downtown area will remind you a little of Sun Valley, or Vail, or any other resort community. The Bus. Loop takes you around the lake, through downtown, and past the resort before joining I-90, where it appears the road will smack into the mountain. For those of you coming from Montana, then Coeur d'Alene will seem like Los Angeles." Several business loop shields were removed from the older button copy signs from Interstate 90, however, new reflective signs placed at the western interchange (Exit 11) again feature the business loop. There are no shields for the loop through town, including the unusual U.S. 95 interchange southwest of downtown. The loop no longer appears on the official Idaho state map (as of 2006). |

| Plankinton
| Active |
This business loop connects with Interstate 90 at Exit 308 and Exit 310, following Old U.S. 16. The route is partially signed with U.S. 281 and South Dakota 258. When South Dakota signs its business loops, it mentions the business loop on the first exit only. The second exit (the business loop return to the Interstate) does not get signed. In the case of Plankinton, you'd see "Exit 310 Business Loop I-90, Plankinton" first, then "Exit 312 Next Right" the second time. If you're headed eastbound, you'd see "Exit 312 Business Loop I-90, Plankinton" first, then "Exit 310 Next Right" the second time. There are no control cities on the second sign, making South Dakota's signing unique. By comparison, the Arizona DOT normally signs both business loop exits in both directions. |

South Dakota State Route 115 shares pavement with Business Spur I-90 between Interstate 90 and downtown and with Business Loop I-229 between downtown and Interstate 229. Thanks to Chris Geelhart and Ed Wilson for their clarification of the Sioux Falls business connections According to Brad Schwartze, in 2006, South Dakota 42 and South Dakota 115 (and the Business Loops/Spurs in Sioux Falls) were turned over to the city of Sioux Falls. South Dakota DOT's Transportation Inventory Management group indicates that both state highways within city limits were given to the city so that the city can control the traffic management.. |
