Interstate Business Route 20

Interstate 20 has several Texas business loops, plus one business spur in South Carolina.

Location Status Description
TEXAS
Pecos Active Business Loop I-20B runs from Interstate 20 west of Pecos northeastward to its junction with Interstate 20 northeast of Barstow, a distance of approximately 13.3 miles in Reeves and Ward Counties along old U.S. 80.
Wickett - Monahans Active Business Loop I-20D runs 7.2 miles through Wickett and Monahans in Ward County. Most of the I-20 business loops in Texas were commissioned in 1991, about the same time that U.S. 80 was retracted eastward, so it only goes as far west as Dallas today.
Odessa - Midland Active Business Loop I-20E runs from Interstate 20 southwest of Odessa northeastward to its junction with I-20 northeast of Midland, a distance of approximately 32.0 miles. This route runs through Ector and Midland Counties. Partially known as Second Street; it is also Old U.S. 80.
Stanton Active Business Loop I-20F runs for 4.6 miles through Stanton in Martin County. It was commissioned over old U.S. 80 in 1995.
Big Spring Active Business Loop I-20G is approximately 5.6 miles through Big Spring in Howard County along Old U.S. 80.
Westbrook Active Business Loop I-20H is 1.1 miles in Westbrook through Mitchell County via old U.S. 80.
Colorado City Active Business Loop I-20J is 5.9 miles in Colorado City through Mitchell County via old U.S. 80.
Loraine Active Business Loop I-20K runs 1.6 miles in Loraine through Mitchell County via old U.S. 80.
Roscoe Active Business Loop I-20L in Roscoe runs from Business U.S. 84J, southwesterly to Interstate 20 west of Roscoe, a distance of approximately 1.6 miles within Nolan County via old U.S. 80.
Sweetwater Active Business Loop I-20M runs 6.1 miles through Sweetwater in Nolan County via old U.S. 80.
Trent Active Business Loop I-20N runs 2.1 miles through Trent in Taylor County via old U.S. 80.
Merkel Active Business Loop I-20P runs from Interstate 20 southeasterly via Merkel to the junction of Interstate 20 and FM 1235, a distance of approximately 2.8 miles in Taylor County via old U.S. 80.
Tye Active Business Loop I-20Q runs 1.7 miles through Tye in Taylor County via old U.S. 80.
Abilene Active Business Loop I-20R appears on the official Texas map. In Abilene, it covers a distance of approximately 12.4 miles, of which a section from Interstate 20 to U.S. 83 is concurrent with U.S. 84 in Taylor County. All of Business Loop I-20R is old U.S. 80.
Baird Active Business Loop I-20T runs 2.8 miles through Callahan County via old U.S. 80.
Cisco - Eastland ? If there is a business loop here, it would follow old U.S. 80; however, it is not listed on David Stanek's Texas business route list.
MISSISSIPPI
Vicksburg Not a Business Loop / Decom. Business U.S. 61-80 used to follow Washington Street (Great River Road) and Clay Street between Exits 1A and 4. Currently it is not signed as Business Loop I-20 nor as Business U.S. 61-80. Thanks to Adam Froehlig for the update.
Meridian Not a Business Loop / Decomm. Business U.S. 11-80 used to follow Mississippi 19, Eighth Street, B Street, and old U.S. 11-80 between Exits 150 and 160. Currently, it is not signed as Business Loop I-20/59 nor as Business U.S. 11-80. Thanks to Adam Froehlig for the update.
SOUTH CAROLINA
Florence Active Business Spur I-20 from the Interstate 20-95 junction (Exits 141 and 160) eastbound into Florence via David McLeod Boulevard. The spur ends at its junction with U.S. 76 (Palmetto Street).

Business Spur I-20 stems east from the Interstate 20 terminal interchange with Interstate 95 to U.S. 76 in Florence. The commercial arterial includes a bevy of travel services. Photo taken 05/28/07.
Business Spur I-20 is the 2nd of five Business Spurs (Business Spur I-526 being the other) in South Carolina to retain any signage. I-126, I-385, and I-585 all ended as business spurs originally and are vastly unsigned.
